Lawnton is a suburb in the Moreton Bay Region in Queensland, Australia. The suburb is located 23km from Brisbane and is surrounded by the following suburbs: Petrie, Murrumba Downs, Strathpine, Bald Hills, Bray Park, and Joyner. Lawnton is bounded by the North Pine River to the north and is bisected by the Gympie Road which passes through the centre in a north-south direction.

 The suburb got its name from one of the first property owners in the area, a blacksmith named Stephen Lawn. The property was eventually acquired by the Queensland Rail and was later named Lawnton. The Moreton Bay Regional Council operates a mobile library service which visits Barclay Park on Nightingale Drive. Lawnton has a heritage listing on Bray Road known as the Acclimatisation Society Gardens. 

The Leis Park in the suburb has electric barbecues as well as a boat ramp into the North Pine River. The Wyllie Park along the Lawnton and Petrie border also has electric barbecues. The Lawnton Cemetery is located on Norfolk Avenue.
