Arana Hills is one of the many suburbs of the Moreton Bay Region, Queensland, Australia. The suburb is located 23km northwest of Brisbane and is surrounded by the following suburbs: Bunya, Everton Hills, Everton Park, Mitchelton, Keperra, Ferny Grove, and Ferny Hills. The Arana Hills suburb is situated on the edge of the Bunyaville Forest Reserve and is also informally part of the Hills District. In 1863, Arana Hills District had its first land purchaser Henry St John Bridgeman.

In 1937, the suburb had its very first subdivision. It was named Patricks Estate and had Grove Avenue as its central road. Arana Hills is serviced by numerous shopping villages and a commercial indoor shopping complex that has been operating since 1978. The suburb is also served by Brookside Shopping Centre. The Hills District of Ferny Hills, Arana Hills, and Everton Hills community have a commercially printed newspaper published monthly called “The Echo.”
